Thank you Aaron Swartz We consult google and Wikipedia... all because of the free Internet. It was invented by Tim Berners-Lee, inventor of the World Wide Web. In 1994, Berners-Lee founded the W3C at MIT. It comprised various companies that were willing to create standards and recommendations to improve the quality of the Web. Berners-Lee made his idea available freely, with no patent and no royalties due. The World Wide Web Consortium decided that its standards should be based on royalty-free technology, so that they could easily be adopted by anyone. Aaron took on Tims footsteps. He make available JSTOR database, knowledge and researches, provide free access to law and justice proceedings (PACER) that should be free on public domain not from greed or to build his own wealth. One success story involves a 14yr old student browsing on Aarons JSTOR knowledgebase that made possible early detection of pancreatic cancer. youtube/watch?v=vXr-2hwTk58
