Thank you, Barry. I can understand the civic and political arguments on the other side but I - not just because Barry is a good and, yes, generous friend of mine - choose to focus on the added green space and cultural venues and finally the generous impulse to give this gift to New York. Barry and DVF were big backers of the High Line as well and, real estate values aside that skyrocketed with its realization which includes some of their own holdings, it has made New York a more ... well .. lovely place.
