My hypothesis is - at the moment it is lacking, so there is a need to inform through different pathways such as education and health sectors, thus changing public opinion, hence impacting empathy for victims rather than blame and ostracization, which we observe today compounds further problems for victims of rape by excluding and shaming them by general consent from society, friendship, conversation, privileges, and even marriage in some cases... among the mind set in congregations. The rapist needs to be ostacized with pychological intervention rather than the women being made to feel shame, she is the innocent party. Male priviledge over the word "NO" needs to be dismantelled to enhance respect for women. Women are the largest congregations in our churches, so even though we aim this recognition at both men, women and children, religious women in very conservative religious strongholds are another important factor to consider for this existing shaming process to change. brandeis.edu/projects/fse/conferences/disrupting-the-script/videos/brooten-close.html
