Thank you Denise Alison Shearing for asking me to play 3 positives in 3 days game. I dont particularly like putting anything personal on FB, Other than pictures for my family to share in, you dont find much about me outside of the showing my dogs and the antics we get up to so here goes..... 1/ I finished yet another garden. For me, planning and making the gardens around our place are quite the mission. I had quite a bad injury to my left arm several years ago. Many months of rehabilitation, pain killers galore, depression etc etc etc, the prognosis of using my arm to its full extent again was never great. After seeing several specialists, being told that i have maybe 10 years of movement in the elbow joint ( this was 3 years ago ) lets just say thats not an option for me. The last one said i probably shouldnt be doing anything that require lifting? Considering i was 7 months pregnant with Max, well, this wasnt going to be an option either. Gardening has me using my arm in ways they say should be impossible for me. Digging out the garden beds or the turf and soil. Shoveling soil and mulch, lifting and placing sandstone rocks around the edging, planting the plants, well you get the gist. Doing this with an arm that works at at about 50% strength is hard going but its such a great buzz when i finish one and start planning the next. For me its a huge positive as the more i do, the stronger it gets and i get to prove the specialists wrong. And the stronger it gets the less pain there is. I havent touched anything stronger than paracetamol or aspirin in years :) 2/ My daughter - for those of you who know her can testify to this - is quite head strong. She never listens to a word i say, nor can i show her anything coz she already knows LOL! ( oh to be 6 again ) Well i was conned into buying her a bow and arrow set yesterday at the show... before you all go nuts at me, the arrows have suckers on the end, not actual arrows! .. This morning shes having a hard time using the bow and arrow so i asked her if she wanted me to show her. I taught her how to fire an arrow and when it stuck to the window she had the biggest smile on her face. She was so excited she said Mum youre the best ever. So what if i have to clean sticky circles off my windows, they can stay there with the sticky nose prints from the dogs. Georgina drives me nuts most of the time but she is a major positive in my life. Along with her brother :) 3/ Ive lost another kilo! always a positive! 3/
