Thank you God for music, for the play Orpheus in Africa, for David Kramers vision to create a story and music about a forgotten artist who lived so long ago & who we are now celebrating! Grateful for the mentors in this rehearsal process, grateful for this beautiful, soulful cast and the ability to laugh & sing and breathe life into these amazing characters based on actual people. Grateful for the ability to work in a team to bring this story to its feet and offer it with love to an audience. Grateful for the skilled technical team who are meticulously working to ensure all the details come together, grateful to the Fugard Theatre which transports the journey from beginning to end. God thank you for the peace you give me which passes all understanding. God bless this team, bless this production, bless everyone involved & help us as artists now as always to remember its not about ego but about the story. I pray also for all those today who do not have peace, for those in mourning all over the world following brutal killings & massacres. God be with us all & help us to choose peace. Amen
