Rupiah Bwezani Banda for my candidature in the 20th January 2015 presidential election. President Bandas gesture needs to be applauded by all Zambians who believe in the unity and prosperity of this great country. I agree with president Banda that Zambia has reached a point in her history that requires serious reflection. We must not lose sight of what has brought us to where we are. We lost our leader, the founding President of the Patriotic Front, H.E. Micheal Chilufya Sata, MHSRIP. I agree with President Banda that Zambia needs stability and continuity and not revolution. I am also encouraged by president Bandas magnanimity, which he has demonstrated by choosing unity over petty partisanship and the interest of all Zambians above a selected few. Zambia can now emerge from this election more united than ever and my administration can rely on president Bandas vast experience, wisdom and counsel to steer this great country forward. I accept the challenge given to my colleagues and me by President Banda today and will do everything in my power to deliver on the entire key social, economic and political issues affecting our people today. The new generation of our country should also take this challenge and strive to embrace one another regardless of race, ethnicity, class or political affiliation.
