Thank you, Sarah Monette, for posting for us this a.m. Many changes since then - not in the forward direction. Silas has lost mobility in his left leg, became lethargic, and slurring his speech. Another CT this afternoon showed no change from this morning, but neurosurgery is concerned about pressure on the brain. If he stays the same overnight, they will take him to the O.R. to insert a tiny tube to weigh the pressure in his brain. If that is the problem, they will insert a shunt. I was told the goal is to get him home as soon as possible. Im not sure what that means as far as any upcoming chemotherapy. We received a denial from insurance covering at least part of the chemo, saying it wasnt protocol for his type of tumor. Brock & I are switching off at his bedside, since we have the tiny side of the room. Prayers for Shobi Martin, too, as he has several papers due this week. Thank you all for all youve done for us!
