Thank you all for the hugs, prayers and good words. I did survive. - TopicsExpress

Thank you all for the hugs, prayers and good words. I did survive. Terrie and I shared many Lucy and Ethel trips and my trip yesterday was the FINALE. It was a long day covering many, many miles. And a senior citizen friend of ours invited me to ride along with her and a friend. Not looking forward to those long miles alone, I accepted. We made it to the church for the service just fine. After the service, which ran long with many sharing hilarious stories of their time with Terrie, We rushed out for the cemetery. Thanks to GPS, we headed down a road which became smaller, narrower and Low and behold, became one of the seldom seen in this day, DIRT ROADS. With a great diverse group heading down a Carroll County dirt road in a rush to get to a Wash DC area cemetery, I look to the sky, laughing in my heart, knowing that LUCY is now `upstairs` cackling and snortin` over this one. We finally get on the main road with our funeral procession and are now dealing with, yup, RUSH HOUR TRAFFIC with A FUNERAL PROCESSION.(I can hear that snortin` and cacklin` again, TERRIE!!!), My senior citizen likes to talk and is chattering on and on about her new car. She has had it a few months now and loves it. We are moving right along when we hit one of those sudden stops. WELL, most of the stops were sudden, but not quite so with the car that I happen to be riding it. My yells of stop, stop did not compute fast enough. We hit the pick up in front of us. And the guy that we hit is signalling to keep going cuz we are already late. Once more, I look to the sky. TERRIE, THIS AIN`T FUNNY!!! I think I heard one of those loud SNORTS on that one! It was always stated that she would be late for her own funeral. Yup! And every cloud has a silver lining. Since I had been responsible for the arrangements, the funeral director told us to follow the hearse. I wanted Terrie`s cousin to follow since he is her Family. In trying to move things along, Mike did pull in behind the hearse. Thank God! As bad as this was, I am SO thankful that we were not behind the hearse. Miss ya, Lucy! I gonna close by saying if the thought occurs to touch base with someone, Do It! Now. So many said that they had been thinking about Terrie but never got around to calling or visiting. Tomorrow is not a sure thing and later today , who knows. DO IT!! DO IT NOW!!! PS. Thanks again, Mike. Looking forward to running into you again sometime! (I think I heard another SNORT!). LOL
