Thank you all for the kind words and thoughts. I may cry a bit about certain things, but rarely do I ever ball. That was one of the hardest things I have ever had to do. He was just no longer able to move and walk. You never want to see members of your family, be they furry or not, live in pain or suffer indignity. We spent quality time together. Daughter got to say her goodbyes. He ate two double cheeseburgers. We went to the dog park and watched for awhile. Then we drove up to the mountains for a breath of fresh, cool air. I sat with him and held his paw while the sedative took hold. Scratched his ears rubbed his belly and said goodbye to a wonderful friend. We will miss him dearly but love him always. Besides, he will be around with us forever. There is so much dog hair on everything, we will see him every way we go. So he is not really gone. Love and hugs back to you all. Please give howl to those whom we love this evening.
