Thank you all for your prayers for me and my family and friends - TopicsExpress

Thank you all for your prayers for me and my family and friends here in the Philippines. Last month, we experienced a 7.2 earthquake, and just a few days ago, a super typhoon with winds of 255 kph and waves 25 feet high. We were a little scared because in 1990, a typhoon came thru our house lot and washed the house out onto the highway. God spared us from injury, death, and damages. He made the sea level drop about 10 to 15 feet, and the water just came in the surges and washed up on the beach causing no damages to us here. Thanks to God for his mercy and love and power. Our water was out for 6 days - that means no baths, no showers, no laundry, and we had to buy drinking water for cooking and drinking. We used sea water to flush our toilets. Our electricity was out for 4 days, but luckily, we have a generator to keep our air cons and refrigerator and freezer running. Bad news is that it cost us $35 a day for diesel fuel. Our phones did not work for a couple of days, but slowly getting back to normal. Our Internet just came back on this afternoon (off 18 days). Cable TV was off for a week. The ATM machines did not work for about 4 days, and the stores were closed for a few days. Luckily, the gas station that sells diesel fuel has a generator and we could buy diesel. If you watched CNN, you saw the terrible damages, injuries, and deaths that this super typhoon caused. Every day, there are dozens of helicopters flying north and south over our house to take relief supplies to the towns in the very north areas which were hit the worst. The electric power in some of these towns will take 3 months or more to get back on. Please keep the victims of this storm here in your prayers. There are still many people with no shelter, no running water, no electricity, and very little food.
