Thank you all so much for your care, concern and comments regarding Sophies skin issue. I just talked to the vet tech that helped with Sophie today to clear up some questions I had. The cream they prescribed, which is Mupiricin will clear this up, if its a staph infection. Sophies not in pain, just trying to lick from it being itchy. (Shes asleep now). Im going to call tomorrow, to get her in Friday for a recheck to see if the cream is helping. Sophie has therapy tomorrow at 12, and I will talk to Gina, her therapist to see if she should still do water therapy or just do everything else. Tony and myself feel awful that this was going on right under our eyes, but as you all know, they are just so hairy. Therefore, from here on out, Sophie will have a SHORT cut on her belly!
