Thank you, each, for you kind words and memories of my father. Brita mentioned his legacy in Baker County. To me it would include the hundreds, if not thousands, of children he and others helped through work with the Lions Club and the 4-H Club. He loved seeing children happy. I ask you to just think of this, (please forgive me if this upsets anyone but I do this to benefit the children) on his behalf...If you are one of the kids who went to 4-H camp Cherry Lake in the summers of your youth, I believe he would appreciate it if you might pay it forward and remember the 4-H CLUB as your heart turns toward feelings of gift-giving in this coming season. No bigger warmth would fill his heart than to know others remember their own rewarding times of being in the 4-H CLUB and help to pay it forward for the benefit of the youth in Baker County. Please contact your local 4-H CLUB / Agricultural Extension Office if you feel you can help them in some manner..time and support will go to help many children in many ways.
