Thank you everyone for always keeping tabs on us. Addison has been - TopicsExpress

Thank you everyone for always keeping tabs on us. Addison has been doing well and I try to not think about the possible surprises the next blood test will bring in Dec. He has had a few headaches which of course makes my blood freeze but I like to think its just because of normal headache things such as change in temperature or dehydration. Overall though, he feels great. He WON a mini ipad (HUGE thanks to Healthy Smiles Dentistry in Lafayette where we traded in his Halloween candy for cash) in a drawing so that has been so exciting for him to be able to connect with some of his cancer friends via facetime. If anyone wants to facetime him, PM me and he would love to say hi. It will be a wonderful way to stay in touch with a couple of his friends who are going through some pretty rough cancer treatment right now. Hooray for this gift as it wasnt in our budget and he is so happy to have a more fun way to work on math facts. Madelene has been having lots of nighttime gushing bloody noses so I told them I can only worry about one child at a time. (haha). We watched old videos of Madelenes first few weeks on life support (she hadnt seen these) and it was an instant reminder of how very lucky we are to have both kids so healthy. She commented on how sad it was that she was not able to make any typical crying or baby noises due to her being intabated. I reminded her that she has well made up for those silent weeks in the NICU. She is continuing to plan for her next cancer sibling group event and is a great salesperson at craft fairs. We are doing an open house of all our craft fair goodies (jam, earrings, necklaces, apple pie filling and ghetti sauce) 9-4 on Saturday Dec 6 and 10-4 on Sunday Dec 7 at our house in Broomfield. Open to the public. Madelene will help little kids if you want to send them in to Shop for a gift for mom. 1092 Lilac Circle, Broomfield, CO 80020. Our friend Kerry R. Heath Wuthrich will be selling her beautiful rice filled hot/cold packs of all sizes and the kids will be doing a bake sale to work on their own profit/loss worksheets. (They can keep their bake sale profits but they have to buy all supplies and do all the work- its my way of sneaking in a lesson.) EXCITING news, we just learned that the ADDISON AND BELLA story video has over 10,000 views! YAHOO and we just hope that it gave hope and shared some warm fuzzy feelings to people across the globe. Cancer is NOT fun but you just have to take each day and TRY to find the good in it. youtube/watch?v=frpEcRhkl7o Have a WONDERFUL THANKSGIVING! Last year at this time we were living in a hotel since our house was flooded and we also had to go to the hospital that week for blood tests. We will be celebrating this year quietly (Fri and Sat we have a huge fair at Arvada Center to work) with a turkey for Kip & kids and I will probably spend the afternoon STILL trying to figure out which end of the tofurkey is the head vs. tail. HAHA.
