Thank you everyone for your comments which I really appreciate. I thought I would update you on how Wilfred is doing. Unfortunately we had to take him to the vets Friday because he had terrible runny poos at one point only blood was expelled every time he went for a toilet. Also he had wet in the house in the early hours which was very unusual for Wilfred. When we saw the vet she said it may be the kidneys or a virus, we clung on that it was a virus. Anyway the vet gave him a steroid injection together with an antibiotic injection also a probiotic substance to put in his mouth to settle his bowels and harden his motions up. On that note she asked us to prepare ourselves to make a decision for him to be pts thats if it wasnt a virus. Today we had to go back to the vets again because she wanted to see if he had improved otherwise it was the end. Luckily today Wilfred has perked up and his motions have hardened and he is eating again from which I am giving him chicken to settle him. Hes still slow but his ears go up when the food door opens lol. Also he has started following me round again which is a good sign. We have to go back next week to see how he is doing because she also gave him a weeks antibiotics to take but hopefully he should be ok. Taking it a day at a time and so glad we can spend some extra time with him which is very precious to us. May I just thank you all again for your kind comments xxxx
