Thank you, first half of placement exam, for proving to me that my need to babble still means that I will run out of time on every single test I take. Seriously, that listening identification just looked like this: Stravinsky Symphony of Psalms!!! (babble for a few pages) Some random Agnus Dei that sounds like Josquin!!! (babble for a few pages) Symphony Fantastique! (Babble for a few pages) Coronation Scene from Boris Godunov!!! (Babble for a few pages) Late Ars Antiqua!!!! (Babble for a few pages) Crap, I have 10 minutes left out of an hour and 5 questions still to go.... (each question gets a few bullet points which are sure to illicit a massive facepalm moment from whoever reads them)... Pacing while writing. Not my forte, apparently. I would have thought that 26+ credits of musicology at U of M would have proven that sufficiently but apparently I needed to be reminded.
