Thank you for all the congrats! We had a very nice day! Now some trivia for that year... Movies out were Alien, Apocolypse Now, The very first Star Trek movie, Mad Max, Phantasm, Meatballs, the Amityville Horror and The Muppet Movie. Other events included The fall of The Pol Pot regime, Margaret Thatcher was elected as Prime Minister of England, nuclear accident at Three Mile Island, the shah of Iran left and Ayatollah Khomeini took over. The US Embassy in Tehran was taken over by Iranian militants taking hostages and John Wayne died. Stamps cost .15 cents, US debt was $829.5 billion, Carter was pres., unemployment was 5.8%. Did I mention the Muppet Movie? :-)
