Thank you for letting me join. My husband Grant, daughter Michelle and I moved here in August 2008, Newbies yes however we used to come to Peebles camping, ourselves first then our two daughters with us. Since living in Peebles, we have I hope fitted in,and known by many folk, in and around, Grant in all the shops as a cheery, cheeky, bloke with red hair. He has a laugh and torments all the lassies, ( women). Some say he makes there day. My daughter Michelle was at Heriot Watt University in Gala. Where she has completed and obtained her BA in Textiles and Fashion Design. Michelle and I have frequently been seen outside the Cancer Research shop where we helped raise funds by selling home Baking, and cakes. Also the first time we helped raise money there Michelle whos hair very thick and down passed her waist, had it cut in the street in front of the shop, making £400. She then along with me who wasnt so brave and had my hair same length cut in studio 1, sent our hair to Princess Trust to make wigs for cancer children. Michelle has also taken part twice in the walk for Cancer in Edinburgh. We all enjoy, meeting folk and staying here in Peebles. And hearing stories of Peebles past and present.
