Thank you for the generous donations of toys, socks, clothes, books, sheets, etc. for Interval House East. Here is a photo and caption going out to the press today, and a bonus photo of donors: -------- The Manchester Young Democrats collected hundreds of toys, household items, and children’s clothing for distribution through Interval House East, a nonprofit agency dedicated to preventing and breaking the cycle of family- and intimate-partner abuse. Jill Nugent, Interval House East Program Coordinator, said, “The gifts are appreciated so much. We were able to provide gifts to all the families on our lists who need presents at this time of year, and are glad for the generosity of all the donors. The toys were popular, but so were the socks and sheets. I was surprised how popular! We distributed all the gifts that were collected, and we urged families to take more so as to have gifts for upcoming birthdays.
