Thank you kindly Olivia Vandeveer for nominating me for the ALS ice bucket challenge- I accepted even in a Blacksburg monsoon. I have seen the challenge getting a lot of flack in social media recently for lack of actual awareness, and while that may be founded, its important to remember that the organization has raised almost 7x as much as last year and thats awesome. But, I challenge everyone who has been or will be nominated to go to this website alsa.org/about-als/what-is-als.html , and at least understand what Lou Gehirgs is and why were dumping ice water on our heads like its completely normal.
