..Thank you once again for accepting me in your fold..before I was invited by Club Admin Direk Ahmad Rashid...I learned about the beauty of being a Rotarian from another individual...I thought the Rotary Clubs are only for the elite..and all they do their is hobnobbed with people who belong to the same class....but by a simple twist of fate...right after my Korean husband died in 2012....this Korean Rotarian needed my help to be his Translator and Coordinator in our town as he was building a mission center in our place....as he got sicker and sicker with cancer I needed to step in....he had facilitated more than a 100 Matching Grants from 2002..now called Global Grants both in Korea and in the Philippines...that was the time that my view about Rotary Club International has changed...I realized that R.I. do really help people...but then he died last year...and I even accepted the posthumous award for him on behalf of his wife and daughter ... I hope I can somehow do everything in my ability to be a good Rotarian just like him....instilling in my mind and in my heart the code Service Above Self .........and I know I can do this in Rotary Club Malate Prime...:)
