Thank you so much for all who came out to support me yesterday! We learned last night the power of talking to voters. We started this campaign well over a year ago, the good old fashioned way - talking to voters and asking them what their concerns were for the future of Cheektowaga. My team and I knocked on thousands of doors - and we learned that quality of life issues along with keeping taxes low were primary concerns. As a real estate agent I see the impact of those two issues everyday. It is the reason why families and businesses choose to either move into or out of the town. We also learned that the voters of Cheektowaga are too smart to fall for the old ploy of negative campaign mailers sent out at the last minute. I believe many cast their vote against that type of dirty campaign tactic and in favor of discussing issues that are important to all of the residents of the Town. I look forward to continuing this campaign into November. This was only a first step and I am anxious to continue walking the neighborhoods and talking to voters, attending meetings and listening to what the residents of Cheektowaga would like to see from their town government.
