Thank you so, so much to everyone who prayed for me and who sent me good thoughts while I was in the hospital last month and since. I went in there because of an infection I had in my face, and I left there with nine prescriptions for everything you can think of, including prescriptions for three different diabetes medicines, two of which were insulin injections. I was so sad in the hospital, because they told me I would be taking shots four times a day for the rest of my life. That was such a shock, because just six months prior my doctor said I was approaching the danger zone, and coming close to having to take metformin tablets, and now I was told there was no turning back. I told the doctors I could change my ways, but they didnt seem to have much faith in me. To be honest, they didnt have any faith in me at all. All they saw before them was an overweight mess who didnt have any hope at all. Well, at the end of the day, I didnt need their faith, because I have my own, and Im thanking God almighty for that! To make this long story longer, today I received a call from my sugar doctor, and he seemed pretty happy when he was speaking with me. We went over last weeks log, and he asked me details about this week thus far. I was reading him my numbers and he said he was so pleasantly surprised by what I have been able to do in six short weeks. He told me to keep it up...and then to my amazement, he told me to stop taking insulin injections altogether! Folks, thats four times a day that I wont have to poke myself! I cant tell you how happy that makes me! I am so, so thankful...so thankful for my good news, so thankful for all your prayers and well wishes, but most of all Im so thankful for the faith my parents instilled in me as a little boy. Yes, friends and family...with God all things are indeed possible. Even when a half dozen doctors tell you something is impossible, discouraging your hopes and dreams for a better day, ultimately its Gods decision, and please believe me when I tell you this: with God all things are possible. Believe it folks. My better day that I had hoped and prayed for in the hospital has come, not then, not yesterday, but today its here. Thanks be to God...all the glory, and all the praise to Him! I hope and pray that I can stay on the right path, folks...and that I can keep making good decisions for a better day...and with Gods help, I think I can. Thank you so much again, friends and family, for being there for me...for staying with me during the highs and equally through the lows...through lifes wonderful joys, and heartbreaking sorrows alike.
