Thank you to Cafe Sol Bistro for a superb post on their ANTI CAS story: A picture paints a thousand words. It is obvious that the priority of Kilkenny County Council must be to complete the ring road. With the lack of transparency, the heavy handed tactics of the council and the undemocratic delay tactics in the council chamber, you realise that all is not well with the Central Access Scheme project. As a small local business heavily dependent on tourism we believe that the CAS damages the Kilkenny Tourism product. At the very least our councillors must insist that the project is subject to immediate review and all works halted pending such review. Lets hope they do so at the emergency council meeting on tuesday 22 July. And one must ask the question Cui Bono? Who Benefits? from the CAS. It is not the citizens of Kilkenny.
