Thank you to Tara McAllister for the nomination! Tara, you are beautiful inside and out and a true blessing to me as a friend. While there are many criticisms surrounding the unofficial #nomakeupselfie campaign, it has been successful in raising money and awareness for cancer research as well as starting important conversations. My only criticism is this: lets not make it a big deal to post photos of ourselves with no makeup on. You dont need any special reason or excuse to post a photo of your naturally beautiful self! The most beautiful photos are genuine ones. If a photo captures your true self, share it; regardless of whether or not youre wearing makeup. Allow your inner beauty to shine through in photos of you enjoying time with those you love most or doing something you are passionate about. Lets continue posting photos that show off our true beauty in all its forms while remembering that our unique personalities make us more beautiful than any makeup ever could.
