Thank you to all friends and family whove been thinking of us here in Lithgow. Yesterday was sooo scary. The 95km winds roaring through the bush behind us, the choppers continuously circling, the sirens racing through the town. Last night spent watching the flames burning along the railway line below - unsettling but quite spectacular at the same time. Today the sun struggled to shine through the dense smoke haze and only managed to cast an eerie amber glow all day. Tonight (we hope) there is back burning taking place because fire fronts are to the East, North and West. The smoke is very thick. Sitting in the lounge room the smoke is so bad - can hardly breathe, eyes are burning and looking across the room is hazy. We are fortunate though - many, many people are in such awful situations with these fires. Thank God for the Firies.
