Thank you to all who have called or sent text concerning the welfare of our youngest son, Gunner! Gunner went this morning for an upper and lower GI. Gunner was diagnosed and has been suffering from Ulcerative Colitis. Most of which he was fighting probably for years. This now explains the frequent bathroom trips, loss of appetite and the recent weight loss, amongst other things. We together along with the doctors have a path forward and are looking forward to our Gunner getting back and feeling better! A good friend once said, learn a lesson unfortunately through someone else pain, so parents if you have a friend, or child who has frequent abdominal pain, going to the bathroom alot, weight loss, blood in the stool, loss of appetite, growth failures, fatigue, loss of body fluids and joint pain you might want to take them to a GI doctor before damage is done to the lower colon.
