Thank you to all who have protected our country for the past 237 years. A special thanks to my brother Joe (USAF, Desert Storm), cousin Don McCarron (USAF, Vietnam) my nieces husbands Craig Nolan (USA, Desert Storm), Tom McCullough (USA, Operation Iraqi Freedom) and Andy Goshorn (USCG) and nephew Tim Murphy (USA). Also lest we forget those who have left us including my Brother in Law Bob Fleming (USN, Vietnam), father Francis J. Murphy MD (USA Medical Corp) and Uncle Dan McCarron MD (USN Medical Corp, a front line surgeon in the WWII Pacific Island hopping campaign). Veterans Day was originally Armistice Day, which marked the end of World War I. My Grandfather Joseph T. Murphy MD was a front line surgeon in France during that war to end all wars.
