Thank you to everyone for the love, thoughts and prayers . . . things have turned around somewhat in that Dad has improved from yesterday. Some of the family spoke with the Dr.s and were able to ask questions. As far as his heart goes, the Cardiac Dr. is satisfied that Dad is stable and there appears to be only a little damage to his heart. The CTscan came up with no clots in his lungs or heart. They also checked his pacemaker to ensure that it was working properly. Tomorrow he is to go to the new hospital on the south end for testing on the blood coming into his heart. He will be gone from Peter Lougheed from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm, in case anyone was going to visit. He is to be transferred back to the Vascular Ward this evening (5th floor) His swelling has gone down on his right hand but he will need skin grafts on his left leg when he heals enough. It will not be for another couple weeks before he would even be able to come home and that would be dependent on his healing. The Dr. was also going to check to see if Dad had an hereditery blood clotting disease but the test tomorrow should hopefully show this. I am truly blessed to have my father and family still intact. Please do not take your loved ones for granted . . . hug them and tell them you love them everyday. I hope that Dad continues to improve each day . . . he is such a strong man.
