Thank you to everyone who came out for the beautiful Mass & the very raucous supper afterward to celebrate my 5th anniversary at “smoky St. Stephen’s.” In a wonderful card I received from Holly Eklund & Michael Eklund there was a beautiful quote & a poignant question: “Five years from now, you’re the same person except for the people you’ve met and the books you’ve read.” (John Wooden). Amen (though I am not certain I am now, in any way, the same person I was five years ago). The question was: “If you knew this back then would you have chosen differently?” I can say, in all brutal honesty, no, I would not.
