Thank you to everyone who came to the We Cant Be Beat fundraiser for Don. A grand total of $3,600.00 was raised yesterday. $339 was made from the bake sale, $248 on the 50/50 and the rest was from the dinner, donations, raffle tickets, crafts and silent auction. Don received the entire $248 from the 50/50 due to many people giving him their 50/50 tickets to keep if they won. I dont have enough words to express the gratitude for everyone who attended, donated, helped organize the event, etc. From the ladies at the VFW who cooked and served up the dinner to friends who offered their help who didnt know Don before yesterday to people who walked in with items to donate. We live in a precarious world and the outpouring of love and support I saw with my own two eyes yesterday was nothing short of amazing. People near and far rallied around someone in their time of need and it was a pleasure to be a part of that. What we were able to raise yesterday will take a huge financial burden off of Don. I thank you and Don thanks you.
