Thank you to those of you thinking of Arthur today. He has come through his GA ok. He has had skull x-rays, abdominal x-rays and an abdominal ultra sound plus a dental on some molar spurs. The good news is that bladder and kidneys all look fine. However his lower tooth roots are very overgrown. This could be enough to cause his excessive drinking. He does also have a lot of gas in his intestines and a distended cecum although it doesnt seem to be causing him any pain. It might just be due to the fact that I let his spend all day out in the garden yesterday as the shed was so hot. So he had access to grass for longer than is usual for him. He is staying into night in the air conditioning as the temp near his hutch is 30 degrees. He will also have his tummy checked again tomorrow to make sure the gas is moving along OK
