Thank you to those who have set up your pages! For committed walkers and those who have selected maybe as possible fundraising help, be sure to register and get your personal donor page set up. Registration is absolutely free, and the pages are slightly customizable; feel free to use anything of my story (or ask if youd like some tidbits); there are a few basic facts in the menu of the registration page, for both Lupus and the LFA, itself. The LFA has a couple of banners and other photos/graphics that you an put on your page, or you can choose a photo of yourself, a graphic from elsewhere (purple is the main color for Lupus and a butterfly is often used, as well as a wolf, as that is where Lupus got its name). The blurb on your page can also be customized. Anything any of you have witnessed me go through comes back to Lupus, in one way or another --The bouts of pneumonia, the fun time in the burn unit, hobbling into Walnuts holiday Chorus show in 2011 with an oxygen tank in tow...I could write a book (and might be :-) )...And there are millions more just like me --I guarantee each of you knows at least one other person with Lupus, whether you are aware of it or not (I know four or five in person, and these are just regular people in my life, not anonymous from Facebook groups. Please set up your pages, even if you arent sure you can attend the actual walk (remember you can also be there just as part of the cheering crowd; Team Tufffff would certainly appreciate it!). Online donations go through the site directly and are tax-deductible, and we can work with cash and check donations, as well. Once set up, your personal donor page can be shared on Facebook, Twitter, e-mailed out, or flyers can be handed out at work or other events --Whatever method(s) works for you! Every donation is appreciated, whether $5 or $500. So far were rockin it, and we have two whole months to kick some serious wolf butt!!
