Thank you very much for listening to the Friendly Atmosphere - TopicsExpress

Thank you very much for listening to the Friendly Atmosphere Newcastle Music Scene Podcast. There have been a lot of you listening from all over the world. It amazes me to see how many peeps from overseas appear to enjoy what is predominately a thing about the small city that I live in and that they are enjoying something that is so sweary, silly and essentially educational for something that claims to be an educational podcast. Essentially it’s entertainment, and I think with this second series we have gone above & beyond with the entertainment value… well not ‘value’ but silliness & yeah … it’s free isn’t it? I think my favourite parts of the new series are the silly gameshow sketches. It took an awful lot of work to make those & although I consider a ‘Gameshow Sketch’ to be a comedy cliché, I think our own take on that genre is a little refreshing and gave Alex & I scope to muck around a little more than we could on our first series. I’d like to take this opportunity to publically thank all the bands that agreed to let us play their music on this series, without them there’d just be no point in messing around on audio like an idiot in-between song like we do. I’m pretty sure I sent personal thanks to every act but just I did not…. Thank you to; Polarsets, ThinMan, By Toutatis, Nev Clay, Meiosis (I know), Toxic Melons, 3 At Sea, Rob Heron & The Teapad Orchestra, Your Casket Or Mine?, Warm Digits, SDF, Brilliant Mind, Milk & Biscuits, Michael Legge, Peculiar Disco Moves, Euan Lynn, Albion Row, The Agency, Tissue Culture, Oprhean Sounds, Vinyl Jacket, Death Masks, SimpleSwan, Em Joy, Rick Fury, Blank Maps, Fun City Shills, Herbie Treehead, Lost State Of Dance & Captain Trips. I am pretty sure I have contacted every act featured on these podcasts but I’m also pretty sure I have misremembered my entire life for the past 32 years, so please contact me on MusicByMeiosis@gmail if you have any issues. Also… If you don’t know what the funk I am talking about when referring to this podcast then please go and listen to series 2 of the Friendly Atmosphere Newcastle Music Scene Podcast, the podcast with the stupidly long name that I often enjoy comically referring to in its full unabbreviated length at any given opportunity at: musicbymeiosis/podcast.html - all the details of how to listen to it on Soundcloud & iTunes are there, although with other various methods.
