Thankful Tuesday : for opportunity, choices and abundant balanced living. One of today’s top news stories reads : New report highlights the truth about women in the workplace – it says “A new study has found that women make up just a quarter of those employed in the key management positions of Australian companies”. “As well as an under-representation of women in management positions, the findings revealed the average full-time earnings of men were almost 25 per cent more”. There are significant cultural and structural barriers in workplaces that stop women from moving up, one of the main cultural barriers is gender bias. “The G20 acknowledged the potential of gender equality recently by committing to close the workforce participation gap by 25 per cent by 2025”. What I find it interesting that we should even think that we need to rely on government to bring about change for equality. The next ten years are going to come whether we choose to live them differently or not. When we change what we focus on everything changes. Every woman deserves to have happiness, abundance, wealth, freedom and choice. It’s not just about money but so much more - we deserve to live lives of significance. I am so blessed to be able to create and design my life and income without any ceiling – you have that choice too but you gotta look for it, want it and go after it. So todays article is really appropriate as we celebrate with a 26 year old amazing woman from Perth to just highlight that we can have it all - total balance and abundance.
