Thanking Jesus and all those who are praying and the Drs who work closely with us to monitor Zekes health. He got good reports for this 6 month review. Drs are amazed and impressed of Zekes improvement since Oct 2013. So hes ready for another 6 months of excitement...whos in? Not to lessen the great reports nor to scare but as a matter of prayer going forward. He got a good report and hope to get many more. Focus points change frequently with this lil guy. 2006 was his lungs and breathing then his PDA and aortic arch patch and paralysis 2007 - 2009 add to paralysis and braces 2010 - 2012 add legs and hips tightning 2013 - add strokes and blood supply to the brain 2014 - add vascular and heart valve concerns #Fact is currently there is no known cure for Zekes health condition SMDS ACTA2 there is much to learn an so few to have this rare disorder its difficult to establish expected stages of health and long term developments. Zekes blood vessel tissue is fragile which causes his small vessels to restrict as he experienced last in 2013 in his brain area but this condition also causes large vessels to become more enlarged in proportion to his body size. This causes stress to the heart valves; the aortic valve imparticularly because it experiences the most pressure from the heart as it pumps blood. If his vessels and valves continue to enlarge or start to enlarge at a rapid pace then a surgery would be recommended to correct the valve. Although the surgery has risks at some point the gain may be worth the risks. So we will continue to monitor his condition every 3-6 months. If youve followed Zekes history. Surgeries have saved his life but almost at the expense of his life. Although you would never know by looking at or talking to Zeke that he has any concern about lingering health issues. Sure it gets his attention and sparks curiosity sometimes, but he doesnt dwell on that to get down or saddened by it so neither should you. #Hope is you will continue to join us in prayer that God will continue to show up and make ways as He has so many times to allow Zeke to let his little light shine with everyone he meets; through his laughter, candor, and cheer so we can all enjoy the good that life has to offer. Zeke just wants to live and enjoy every moment he can. He does this through the love of family and friends. God has brought us through every step of these challenges in life. Not sayin its easy but its been very real. This has shown us God is very real. Many times awoke to the expectation of a mere dream and find yesterdays fears are todays reality. Challenges around the corner allow us to see Gods provision. He has provided grace and blessings. Theyve followed and many times preceded and overshadowed the challenges. Blessings through the comfort of His word and through His people being persistent in prayer. We have hope that someday sometime somehow these bodies we dwell in will be at peace. We as people all do better with facts and hope. Thats Christs pattern. #Fact is we are all going to pass from this life at some point. #Hope is we believe and trust in Christ to escape a hopeless death to hell and to gain a hopefull life with Christ in Heaven for eternity. This gives us hope. It gives all hope. Revelation 21:3-4 3 And I heard a great voice out of heaven saying, Behold, the tabernacle of God is with men, and he will dwell with them, and they shall be his people, and God himself shall be with them, and be their God. 4 And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain: for the former things are passed away.
