Thanks Ron Shakir: Candidate for Atlanta City Council District 11 Southwest! As the soil needs to be fertile for the growth of vegetation and animated life; the next level of development (economic) needs fertile minds to nurture it. It would be a big mistake to oppose business studies and expect good economic prospect. For those of us who value social justice; it is important that we also value the tools with which economic prosperity can be achieved. In this modern age a business and government need managers and leaders with competent knowledge for financial and technical management of their areas of responsibility. Those nations who once neglected competitive economics is coming to realise that in doing so themselves become uncompetitive and not attracting enough demands for their no frills produce. It’s therefore the reason for the present day economic strategy of China and former Soviet Bloc countries drift towards capitalism.
