Thanks To Everyone who came out to round 5 of our 2013 series. We had another successful day. This was our Josh Lang Memorial Race. A Big Thank you to Laura Vanlenthe and all of the hard working individuals at KBMX for all of the hard work that they did in order to host this event. As well I would like to thank all the people that come out and worked the gates, the flags, the lap counting and scoring as well as the referee the Medic’ s from St John’s Ambulance and the photographer Jeff TenHave. And let’s give a shout out to the guy who is always shouting out for us, the one who keeps everyone in the know on race day our announcer Danny Vanlenthe. We started the day off with a Memorial Lap in Memory of Josh. Josh Lang’s Family surprised us by donating his bike for us to Auction off. A reserve was set of a $1000 with that $1000 going to Pro Kid’s and anything a above that to go to the club. The winner of that Auction was Howard Owen. Howard I will have to give you a call today to set that up. A can was also brought around for collection of donations to Pro Kids. I have not yet counted the money but will let you know how much is going to Pro Kids shortly. The weather held out with the rain coming right after the last motto. Some great racing action this weekend. We even had Pro Rider Jacqueline Strong racing from Sewer Rat Race Team race with us. As well while the team is in town they will be hosting a rider clinic for your young riders up to 14yrs, giving them some riding tips. Thank you Sewer Rat Race Team.
