Thanks Vamsi Raghu Aditya for my third nomination of Bookbucketchallenge, though nominated long back by Jibin and Kiran..i took my time in responding. Finally im here putting down the books which influenced me the most though they may not exactly be10 in number 1.The Last Lecture by Randy Pausch. This book turned around my way of looking at life and things. Read if u have patience or can find video of the same on youtube. 2.The team of rivals:The political genius of Abraham Lincoln by Doris Kearns Goodwin. One of the best researched books i ever read and took me longest to finish. My respect and admiration for lincoln raised to new levels after reading this book. 3. Long Walk to Freedom by Nelson Mandela and The autobiography of Martin Luther King Jr. The stories of the men who fought against racial discrimination at different parts of world in path shown by Mahatma taught me to fight till the end and never give up 4. My experiments with truth-Mahatma Gandhi and Mohandas-Rajmohan Gandhi. These books about our father of nation made me aware of our freedom struggle and told me how a simple man armed with a truth and non-violence brought an empire to its feet 5.Biography of Otto Von Bismarck. This man who put nationality before everything and brought together Germany, one of the most remarkable events of history. 6. Funny boy by Shyam Selvadurai. This book gave a glimpse of Tamil-Sinhalese conflict in Sri Lanka and one of the most heart felt books i ever read. His portrayal of violence in the same are spine chilling and sorrow at the same time. 7.Lowland and The Interpreter of Maladies by Jhumpa Lahiri. Human emotions potrayal in these books can be a good example to be followed who consider themselves to be NEW GEN ENGLISH WRITERS from India. Please read and improve 8.Chanakya Chant by Ashwin Sanghi. A satirical take on Indian politics twined with history of chanakya and his intelligence is one of the best produced fiction coming from an indian author in my opinion during the recent times. 9.Q&A and Six Suspects by Vikas Swarup. The narrative of these novels remind me of those of quentin tarantinos movies. Nice ideas and great penning. 10.D-Day and band of Brothers by Stephen Ambrose. Though these books are not the best on world war-2 they portrayed the human emotions and brotherhood among soldiers. Highly glorifying of America though 11.Day of Jackal by Fredrick Forsyth and The Spy who came in from the cold by John Le Carre. The former is the best Thriller novel and second is best spy novel i ever read. Thanks for these awesome books Though I also read Foreign affairs by Alison Lurie,Harry Potter Series by JK Rowling, Percy Jackson Series by Rick Riordan,The Emperor of Maladies by Siddhartha Mukherjee, Perks of being a Wallflower by Stephen Chbosky and a few novels by Sidney Sheldon and loved them, they were just interesting reads. In above passages i might have misspelled a few names of authors or books, please excuse me. I nominate Sandeep,Sandeep, Abhijeet,Akshay Singh for the challenge
