Thanks for adding me to your group. I did used to live to the side of woodland next to Acklam Hall but gradually over the last few months most of the trees have been hacked down. Ive had conversations with the tree surgeons and my husband has phoned the council. Each time we get a different story, but the latest was that they have free reign to chop down any tree if they decide it shows any sign of damage, infection, etc! How many old trees dont show any of this?! It really is shocking and totally unnecessary! Even if they were to develop Acklam Hall there was no need to involve removing the trees in the plans!
