When I talked with police this afternoon, the department had not yet seen the video, made a determination on whether a crime was committed nor named anyone as suspects in the case. Until it does, ABC30 didnt feel comfortable airing the faces of anyone in case its later determined they did nothing wrong. Thats when the story switched gears and became more about how businesses are turning to surveillance video and social media to prevent theft.
