Thanks for the add! A little over 2 years ago we took in a Dog named Brisa (who we subsequently change to Brie). In looking through her paperwork I found a letter from Courtney Alves, who I am thinking was her foster mom in Puerto Rico. It appears she was rescued there and fostered with Courtney until she came to the states. From there she went to PR Humane then to Worcester Animal Rescue. She was then adopted by a very nice girl (whom weve met). This girl was going through a divorce and gave Brie to her grandmother to care for. Her grandmother was a close friend of my moms. When my husband and I were looking to adopt a dog Brie came into the picture. The grandmother whom she had been living with (Doris) had fallen several times trying to take her out. She could not give her back to her granddaughter. She thought she would have to put her back into rescue again. My mom asked her if we could come meet her- we did. We went home with her that day :-) Brie has been with us since August of 2013- she will be 5 next February. She has been bounced around a lot- but has had much love every where she has gone. Sometimes I wonder what it was like for her as a puppy on the streets or beaches of PR… She will never be bounced again! My husband and I are so madly in love with her. This little 14 pound treasure has moved in and taken over, and we would not have it any other way. My son went into the Marine Corp and deployed a month before we got her. She SAVED me- not the other way around. We spoil her rotten- from coats and seat belts to toys and vet care- but most importantly we love her like crazy. She never leaves my side when Im home :-) She makes us laugh every day, she has the most gentle heart and adores and wants to meet everyone she sees! She is truly my little miracle. I always promise her she will never have another home and that I would not give her up for all the money in the world! I have read a lot about Sato’s to learn about her- they are known for their amazing dispositions and she is proof of that! We are considering a second dog- and it WILL be a sato!
