Thanks for the add. Im getting back into bicycling after a 30 year - TopicsExpress

Thanks for the add. Im getting back into bicycling after a 30 year hiatus & have been taking longer trips with my old Raleigh road bike. But it appears my biggest limitation is carpel tunnel effecting my palms & wrists, particularly my left. I go only a few miles before the pressure resting my palm from the handlebar really becomes unbearable. So Im wondering if a recumbent might take the weight off my hands. Years ago I enjoyed Touring, and would like to try to do it again. I have no knowledge of recumbents, however videos posted on youtube have me attracted to the tadpole styles. Can some offer some advice? Not a I love my (xxxx brand) kinda stuff, (although please point out some of the brand names thatr out there), but more a bit on expected costs, and features I should look for, things to avoid, ect. Im aware the wallet can leave the body in any hobby, and Im far from wealthy. Is even is this a doable proposition on a shoestring budget? Lastly, Im in Myrtle Beach SC. Please point me to where there is a reputable bike store who would let me simply try one out. Is there anyone who rides around here? Thanks!
