Thanks for the birthday greeting everyone. I spent the day with an Italian woman I met at the bus station exploring the Mayan ruins of Coba on the Mexican Yucatan. These ruins are deep in the jungle and you feel like you are walking back in time. Even climbed the temple seen in photo. It is amazing to see these structures that were built about 1500 years ago. A very peaceful and beautiful place. Ended the day by taking the ferry over to Cozumel and having dinner with my friend Tracey. The day before I did my first Cenote dive at Dos Ojos. Cenote are limestone sinkholes. This is a cavern dive, not as deep penetration as a cave dive. At one point we turned off all the flashlights. It was beyond pitch black. It was absolute blackness. COOL. The stalactites and stalagmites were amazing.
