Thanks for the invite! Proud to be a part of this venture! I am that crazy woman you may have heard about that offered to be the donation person in our Just Us Quilters Facebook group. I asked that anyone interested to please send one nine patch with white corners to me to be cut and resewn into disappearing nine patches so we could make 3 or 4 quilts for QOV. That was in March. As of the first of July we have collected just over 900 blocks! They have come from all over the states and even Canada and Australia have participated! With only 24 per quilt, that is a few quilts as you can imagine. That was a slow time of year for me so I thought I could handle it, Never in my wildest dreams did I imagine that little snowball would turn into a full blown avalanche! I have sent 200 finished blocks to 2 quilt guilds to finish and turn into quilts. After nearly 4 months of working on nothing but those blocks... I can see some light at the end of the tunnel. I so hope that it isnt a train! Have finished 7 so far with I think 17 more ready for borders then to be quilted. You should see all of the empty spools I have now! Anyone need any???
