Thanks go out to all of you who have sent prayers and hugs! And called! Ive been reading them to Gene and (hell kill me for saying this) they have a brought a tear or two to his eye knowing that many people care about him. Was going to write you all an update last night before bed, but I just woke up to stoke the stove with my glasses still on and my I pad still in bed with me. Thankful that it can turn itself off. I didnt even get through email. Gene was doing a little better yesterday. He did get up and walk three times yesterday which will help his gas situation. He is very swelled and has lots of pressure. He was very upset when the dr told him he cant go home until he passed all the gas and then he cant go back to work for two to three weeks! After the initial shock, he started telling me all that had to be done in the next two weeks. I convinced him I had everything taken care of for this week and to let me get through all the daily chores, preg testing on Friday and getting all the steers gathered, sorted, and hauled out on Monday and the sale on Tuesday before I have to start worrying about getting hay hauled, and everything else on his list. Special thanks go out to Kodi Lynne Walter who came home to be with dad in the hospital so I can concentrate on chores, cattle, and the rest of the business. Again thanks for all the thoughts and prayers! Keep them up until I can get him home!
