Thanks to Ally, Rina Andolini, Joe Catron and all the other activists who brought not only all the media attention in the world, but world leaders as well, to us at the Beit Hanoun Hospital, a massacre did not occur. Everybody did a great job and that is why now about 100 people are still alive. Israel said they accidentally hit the hospital with their tank fire, second attack not even 1,5 meter above my head, which is bullshit since they continuously and high frequently attacked the hospital and everything around it with tank fire and automatic rifle fire from 7 yesterday evening to 8:10 this morning. We managed to coordinate ambulances to the hospital, evacuating all the medical staf, the patients and the many people who had fled to the hospital hoping for it to be a safe place. The ICRC (Israeli committee of the bloodRed Cross) were as we have noticed in earlier cases during this Israeli aggression, not cooperative with the medical staf and the civilians as it should be. They told us to wait until tomorrow morning and see what happened during these direct attacks on the hospital. We were all sure that we would never ever come out of that hospital alive. Me and Charlie were able to keep the kids calm and bring a good mood to them, playing with them a lot during the destruction of the hospital. Hospital staf and civilians also found our presence there calming since they know that their lives dont mean anything for the state of Israel, but ours might do. The Swedish foreign ministry did not want to help in any way to even contact Israel and tell them to respect international law. They just said that I have to suit myself for going to Gaza and they would leave a note for someone about the issue, someone working during open hours (Monday?). The Chile ministry (minister?) of foreign affairs did call me and said they were doing everything they can to stop Israel. The Swedish foreign ministry called me today again and said they could offer medical help for me at Erez. Thank you, but take some responsibility in the first place instead of looking good afterwards. You disgust me.
