Thanks to Amreen Ghouse for asking me to write my top 10 books. Dont think I have ever read 10 books from cover to cover in my life. But its a good academic exercise, nonetheless. 1. The Kite Runner 2. The War for Late Night: When Leno Went Early and Television Went Crazy 3. Catcher in the Rye 4. My Spin on Cricket by Richie Benaud 5. Team of Rivals: The political genius of Abraham Lincoln. 6. American on Purpose by Craig Ferguson 7. A Thousand Splendid Suns 8. Born Standing up 9. The Patriarch 10. Steve Jobs by Walter Isacson Notable mentions that are on my list - Shantaram, Bully Pulpit by Doris Kearns Goodwin, This Town, The Oath: The Obama White House and The Supreme Court, Robert Caros 4 volumes on Lyndon Baines Johnson etc. Need more time. So to further this - I will ask some good friends to do this - Faisal Kamal, Riddhi Sen, Ghazal Katyal, Drew Howard, Brian Patrick, Derrick Nayo, Nabeel Jafri, Andrew Warner, Utsav Gupta, Hufrish Aibara, Anshul Malik Divya Sangwan - I know you have done this), Abby Madan, Akanksha Madan, Rohit Malik, Ekta Lasher, Shilpa Sethi, Jarrod Kimber (provide me some good cricket books to read), Jaywin Singh Malhi, Sarthak Shah, Marvee Mk, Debojit Dutta, Ishani Bajaj, Prabhas Bajaj. I hope this isnt too many. Good luck and look forward to reading your lists.
