Thanks to Begtets for this wonderful Trip Advisor review... “Great Service, Very Comfortable Stay.” 5 of 5 stars Reviewed 2 days ago NEW We decided to add a pre-flight night to our weekend away and opted for the DoubleTree at Newcastle Airport which thankfully turned out to be the right choice. We were welcomed at reception with a big smile from by Jessica who was very courteous & professional, this topped off with the legendary DoubleTree cookies made the check-in experience a very pleasant one. The bedroom (a Hilton Honors room) was immaculate throughout & the bed was both very large and comfortable which delivered a great nights sleep. The towels were soft, the toiletries were of a good standard & the air-conditioning worked a treat, The public bar areas & restaurants delivered a great choice of food & drink at what you would realistically expect to pay in a decent restaurant. The entire hotel is very tastefully decorated which adds to the comfortable relaxed ambiance and all the staff we encountered were pleasant & helpful. The DoubleTree (in my opinion) is head and shoulders above the other Newcastle airport hotels, (all of which I have stayed in) and if you book early you can get a great price. I would definitely recommend this hotel and will definitely be staying again at the start of my next jaunt away.
