Thanks to Cristina Dos Santos, Ive been tagged. So here goes. And Im supposed to tag others. So heads up to Chris Phillips and Julia Latham. Youve been TAGGED. Bwahahaaa... List ten books that have stayed with you in some way. Dont take more than a few minutes, and dont think too hard. Its not about the right book or great works of literature- just ones that have affected you in some way. They dont have to be in order. Then tag friends and me so that I can see your list Here goes… (in no particular order) 1.) Outlander series by Diana Gabaldon. Hello? Men in kilts aka James Alexander Malcolm Mackenzie Fraser. Enough said. 2.) The Adventures of Sherlock Holmes by Arthur Conan Doyle - I cut my teeth on these as a kid. They taught me what a true mystery/crime story was supposed to be... and how to use my brain while reading. 3.) The Ruins by Scott Smith - Because Ive never looked at a vine the same way since. 4.) Heart-shaped Box - Joe Hill - Because Ive never quite slept soundly through the night since Craddocks ghost came to call 5.) Game of Thrones by George RR Martin - Just call me Khaleesi and well call it a day. 6) Bread and Jam for Frances by Russell & Lillian Hoban - My all time favorite book as a child. As a picky eater myself, Frances diet of only bread and jam justified my own existence for a long time. I conveniently forgot the part where she ventures out into all new foods. 7) Enders Game by Orson Scott Card - When youre the little one in the fight and you get your man on the ground, kick them again. Probably not the intended moral of the story but thats what I walked away with. Oops. 8) Interview with the Vampire series by Anne Rice - my enduring love of everything that goes bump in the night 9) It by Stephen King - my obsession with being horrified by things that shouldnt be scary... like balloons... and paper boats... and drains... 10) Anne of Green Gables by LM Montgomery - I was going to marry Gilbert. It didnt really work out for me but he was my first literary crush. Ive never quite recovered but theres always Jamie Fraser (refer back to #1)
