Thanks to Director of Pastoral Care Steve Brown for reminding us in our overhead devotion this morning that each of us is an instrument who God uses in His work here at Baptist Golden Triangle. I Corinthians 3:9 says, “For we work together with God.” In the health care setting each of us plays an important part. Without rooms cleaned by housekeepers and heating/cooling systems maintained by operations staff, nurses would have difficulty providing patients with clean, safe and comfortable rooms. Without nurses, doctors could not provide continual care for their patients. Without doctors, specialists, and surgeons, the clinical staff could not meet the many and varied needs of the patients and community. From administrators who make decisions, both large and small, to the office staff who register the patients or deal with finances, to operators who keep us connected to one another and volunteers who give of their time and talents freely; everyone is important for the good of the patient. In the final analysis, each of us is an instrument that God uses as He works alongside us to provide compassionate care and healing. May we pray? Lord, help us to be faithful stewards of the unique gifts you have given to this Baptist family. In your holy name we pray.—Amen
